I’m a tech-savvy tomboy with an affinity for hot tea and good sushi. Mr. Meerkat and I are just a couple fun lovin’ geeks from Michigan. We love anything having to do with movies, books, video games, board/card games and technology. We also hold a special place in our hearts for our two very spoiled shih-tzus, Wicket and Bravo. We also LOVE to travel. We love it so much it only took us 12 hours after we got engaged to decide to have a destination wedding.

Why Are We Called The Meerkats?

My blogging adventures began in the summer of 2010 while planning our destination wedding in the Riviera Maya. Which eventually lead me to apply to become a blogger on Weddingbee.com. And on a peaceful Saturday morning in August of 2010 I received an email letting me know I had been selected to become a Bee. I selected the Meerkat icon as my blogging moniker and have been going by the name ever since.

Now that all the wedding planning is done and I am one content married lady, I still find I like to dabble in blogging here and there. So here I am writing about all the geeky and not so geeky things I love which includes everything from gaming to training for the Zombie Apocalypse to baking sweet treats for everyone around me.
